Kerala police arrested a woman on Saturday after she allegedly sexually abused two children in her care.
Police said they were conducting raids on two residential premises in Kannur district in connection with the case.
The suspect was arrested from a mobile phone in the village of Pathanakkam, near the district capital Kannadiga.
Police arrested the woman and her husband on Saturday and are still looking for a third person, police said.
The two children, aged eight and 10, were allegedly sexually assaulted in the house, police added.
The police said they have lodged a case of criminal intimidation under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Juvenile Justice Act.
The accused is a resident of Kannamalai village in the district.
